“Consistent bowling and batting” put the Multiply Titans in a comfortable position at the end of day one in their clash with current log leaders; the Hollywoodbets Dolphins; in the Sunfoil 4-day series at SuperSport Park. The match takes place 20 to 23 October 2016.
Day 1 scores:
Hollywoodbets Dolphins 207/10
Multiply Titans 45 without loss of wicket
The Titans won the toss and elected to field first.
Lungi Ngidi and Malusi Siboto sliced through the Dolphins’s top order not giving their opponents a chance to settle in.
Ngidi took five wickets overall with Siboto following close with three; leaving David Wiese and Rowan Richards to pick up the remaining two wickets. Senuram Muthusamy was the highest scorer in the Dolphins’s 1st Innings with 52 runs not out.
It was a long day at the crease for the Dolphins; with hosts the Multiply Titans starting their 1st Innings about an hour before close of play.
Titans opening batsmen Heino Kuhn and Aiden Markram; had the task of carrying the team over to day two. There were a few nerve-wracking moments with loud appeals from the Dolphins who were certain that they claimed a wicket.
Day two resumes at 10:00 tomorrow where the Dolphins, especially Andile Phehlukwayo is looking to make up for day one.
Phehlukwayo said that he wants to get his “bowling length” right.
Come and support your team and be part of the Sunfoil 4-day action.
