There is plenty of action at Newlands cricket ground between the Multiply Titans and the BuildNat Cobras.

The Titans won the toss and elected to field.  The Titans went on attack and left the Cobras with a 1st Innings score of 235 in 74.3 overs

Opening batsmen Omphile Ramela (15 runs) and Andrew Puttick (10 runs) succumbed to the bowling of David Wiese followed by Junior Dala taking the wicket of Zybayr Hamza on 12 runs.

Stiaan van Zyl (65) and Justin Ontong (45) managed to put double figures on the scoreboard before losing their wickets.

The pitch favoured legbreak spinner; Shaun von Berg who took a total of five wickets.  At their last match versus the Hollywoodbets Dolphins; Von Berg said that the homeground pitch “didn’t favour” his type of bowling.  He was on 12th man duty.

With about 2 hours play left; the BuildNat Cobras will be certain to strike back to see if they can claim early wickets.

The Titans resumed batting with Heino Kuhn and Aiden Markram at the helm who at time of publishing this article were on 33/0.
