SUPERSPORT PARK is preparing for an epic showdown taking place between the Hollywoodbets Dolphins and Multiply Titans on 16 December 2017.
The Titans showed good form throughout the 2017/2018 Ram Slam T20 challenge, whereas the Dolphins saw their shot at the title literally washing down the drain.
Match after match at Kingsmead Stadium was abandoned due to rain. The weather turned in favour of play, and the Dolphins in their match against the Titans saw the team getting an emphatic win over their opponents. This gained them the much-needed two points for a semi-final against the WSB Cobras.
Tight bowling, especially by spinner and Ram Deliverer of the match, Tabraiz Shamsi (4/32) and signature batting by AB de Villiers (match Ram Slammer) saw them defeat the Warriors to book the Titans a home final.
In Durban the rain came back with a vengeance. A hopeful WSB Cobras team, Dolphins, Officials and fans waited with baited breath to see these two greats in action, but again the rain won. The match was abandoned and the Dolphins got their place in the final. Taking a walk around the field to thank their faithful fans; Skipper Khaya Zondo, Morné van Wyk, Mthokozisi Shezi, Robbie Frylinck, Keshav Maharaj, Sarel Erwee, Dane Vilas committed to doing their best to bring the trophy home.
The last time the Dolphins won the Ram Slam T20 Challenge was 2013/2014. They are hungry for a win. They’ve proved that you cannot underestimate them. Who can forget last season’s match where the Titans looked comfortable to win. Frylinck came in and turned the game in favour of the Dolphins.
Both teams have a very strong line-up and are equally determined to win. Where will the Ram Slam T20 Challenge Trophy spend the season? Durban or Pretoria?
